Master Bedroom Magic

So I'm in the process of giving our master bedroom a major overhaul in the next month.

Above is a horrible cut and paste job of a number of things I would like to see in the room.

(Truth be told, I put this together so I could de-stress and not commit murder over some annoyances, which is probably the reason this is such a shoddy job).

But ANYWAY,
we had a house-guest staying with us for a time,
and they were staying in what should have been our official master bedroom.

We were waiting until the youngest bitty turned 2,
and now that she has,
and that room is freeeeeeee.....

I finally get to play.

We painted it this beautiful, beautiful, beautiful charcoal gray,
(the color at the top of the image is similar to the color in the room)
so I get to add a lot of nice, white accents to compliment the dark color.

I'm kind of a nut for white decor,
so this is pure heaven to me.

Even more so,
my husband is on board with my entire design scheme.
Win.

Hopefully I will be able to keep things up to date with my posts,
and keep everyone (or the two people who currently read this)
in the know with my current decor projects.

I'm so pumped.

Stay tuned!

XOXO

Inspired

 1.2.3.4.5.6

As I mentioned yesterday,
we are getting new flooring in our living room (yay!).
This has put me into a decorating frenzy, trying to determine the best look for our home.

Being as it is the central room in the house, I want it to reflect us perfectly.
Calling Bree Van de Camps',
surely,
but I want it to be beautiful, personal,
and above all,
original.

Since I live with a boy,
I have to modify my decorative flair to make way for guy stuff (total.bummer.),
but nonetheless,
I'm sure I can get my way here and there.

Here's hoping,
anyway.

XOXO,
Cat

Wednesday Wishlist

Silver Glassware$27.96-$31.96 (on sale!)
 Gold Vase$30
My husband and I are stoked to be putting in hardwood floors during the next couple months.
My new year-old couch is finally going to stand out from the flooring, and not look so blase against the neutral walls and carpet.

I am beyond excited.
Finally, the living room I have pictured in my head is coming to fruition!

Hence, the desire to bring in a sparkly, awesome rug.

I have been drooling over cowhide rugs for the last two years.
I realize that is a really long time,
and I should check the latest Elle Decor to double check if they are still "in",
but regardless,
this is probably a similar version of the rug I will inevitably purchase for my living room.

Pumped is an understatement.

XOXO
